I always resented my friend Mark Richards' book Core Memory. While I criss crossed the country for two years attempting to get the inventors to open their lives and homes to me for my book, MR simply cruised down the 101 to Mountain View, CA and shot his entire book in a few days. WTF? And...of course, it sold like crazy. Now, out in Japan, MR is in Tokyo lecturing about the thing and sending forth transmissions from planet Japan, above.
