Foggy Morning With Smiley and Antennae

Still trying to do something with this sheet of paper, obviously.
Don't know if these two pair off, but I think the shot of my son in the street fits the feeling of this project. Don't really think of this as a diptych, as much as a book that will have facing pages or a series of images lined up next to each other...like a sentence.

The image of your son in the street is really, really nice. Pairing works OK for me, especially considering the other pairs.

Thanks for reaching out, John...but you know...you gotta tell us why you like or dislike something...this is not flickr!

I'm not sure about the doll and the oversized hoody. I'd prefer it simpler - without the hoody perhaps, or without both the doll and the hoody.

I hear you Colin, you want the kid without the theatrics I'm sensing. Harder for me to shoot and be happy with, its almost like I'm trying to keep things in code or something....I dunno.

The theatrics can be good, but the doll and hoody aren't really part of him - unlike the scissors say in the interior shot, or even the paper bag on head in a strange way. Keep the code, it could be good, but try some without the code - and see what comes out that way.

I love the image as a singular image. I always enjoy your pairings but this one is not as successful.

His gesture, especially his arms and the way the hoodie is moving evokes a pulling or a tension. I love theatrics, and I am on the fence about the doll....too much? maybe but maybe not. Mostly this is a good image and with good images it does not matter who, what, where, when and why...it just is.
