Serene Dominic circa 1996

There was a time when a square photograph was the territory of Hassleblad and medium format film. Just came across this job shot back in 1996 for Serene Dominic and the Semi Detached due to the wonder of the internet and thought I'd want to share.

nice.

rolleiflex would have been the precursor to the "blad."

oh, and btw, while the Blad was indeed often a hassle, what with the film back having to be turned just so, and the locked up mirror from time to time, they spelled it hassel...

oh, and furthermore, i did not want to be snarky, and realized that YOUR square images were the territory of the hasselblad, and not all square images ever.
apologies!

It must be the Square God, Cubetron, who is known for these sorts of talkings.

Nice job on the iPhone shoot, btw. A friend of mine always jokes how he is going to get a day rate by shooting his phone. Looks like you beat him to it.

chirp.

Oh....all good. I know who you are. You prolly weren't even born when that shot was made in 96, where you?

born after 96, does anyone that young even read your blog? can they take their fingers off their iPhone's long enough to troll their "feed" for images, updates and inspiration?

no, sorry, older than you. plenty of time spent in the darkroom spooling film onto metal reels.
