Eli is on the table like a cat sniffing a flower (with no scent - but you never know until you sniff). There's more transparency in the flower one and so, strangely enough, more mystery. We start to see who Eli is.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2125625679268015136.post-85881177653723439792008-05-17T08:30:00.000-07:002008-05-17T08:30:00.000-07:00It's a portrait of absorption. It's a portrait of absorption.Darrell Eagerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00309410200136158885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2125625679268015136.post-18198001867249360942008-05-15T21:50:00.000-07:002008-05-15T21:50:00.000-07:00cade- i know what you mean. i'm having a hard time...cade- i know what you mean. i'm having a hard time with the shot of the flowers. i kind of love looking at it, but think that describing it to someone it would sound totally cheesy...so maybe it is? this shot with the candle is similar to other shots on the project: its odd and maybe metaphorical. its not expanding the project any but it is hitting a note and reinforces the tone of the project. but maybe that is just repetitive? is the ball moving forward? i dunno? but i kind of think that if i was looking at this stuff, that hits the same note, over and over, and then i came across an image of a kid sniffing flowers...i think it would carry some weight. <BR/>ahh...i dunno. that is why this stuff is fun.Timothy Archibaldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16098072127684110673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2125625679268015136.post-57046364322674013352008-05-15T18:07:00.000-07:002008-05-15T18:07:00.000-07:00I dig this a lot more than the flowers one. While they're both a huge mystery to me (someone who does not have children) I think this one asks more questions about what's going on and why he's posing like that. It seems to be more about what's going on in his head.Cade Overtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00869956678755858792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2125625679268015136.post-88559341064546314732008-05-15T09:01:00.000-07:002008-05-15T09:01:00.000-07:00This makes me want to carry my camera around moreThis makes me want to carry my camera around moreErich Mortonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12826864268774311238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2125625679268015136.post-76520970458249394782008-05-13T22:31:00.000-07:002008-05-13T22:31:00.000-07:00This a beautiful shot - I can look at this and kee...This a beautiful shot - I can look at this and keep seeing new things, textures, shadows..
